J’ai réussi à sortir pour une heure cet après-midi. J’ai eu une vision très romantique de Llivia dans mon esprit – ce que ce serait un bijou, et c’est la raison pour laquelle l’Espagne ne pouvait pas supporter de se séparer de lui. Entouré par la France de tous les côtés, mais avec tous les accompagnements de l’Espagne.

Mais, ce n’est pas très excitant. Il doit y avoir une raison d’impôt pour l’achat d’une maison ici. Je dis cela parce que c’est une ville fantôme. La ville est verrouillé, fenêtres et volets fermés.

Cela m’a rappelé l’autre ville frontalière de La Jonquera, mais moins de bordels et de la prostitution, mais beaucoup de gens de la France d’acheter pas cher vin espagnol.

I managed to get away for an hour this afternoon. I had a very romantic vision of Llívia in my mind – that it would be a jewel, and this is the reason that Spain could not bear to part with it. Surrounded by France on all sides, but with all the trimmings of Spain.

But, it is not very exciting. There must be a tax reason for buying a house here. I say this because it is a ghost town. The town is locked down, window and shutters closed.

It reminded me of the other border town La Jonquera, but with less brothels and prostitution, but lots of people from France buying cheap Spanish wine.
